Worcester Free Public Library

Head Librarian

I am thrilled to serve as the Head Librarian of the Worcester Public Library. It is an honor to offer my passion and leadership ability to ensure that the library remains vital, valuable, and visible in the communities we serve. I am working closely with the library Board, our staff, and City Manager Michael V. O’Brien to coordinate the work of our library services and business operations.

A library is built upon the foundation of freedom and democracy. This is why I came to America to study after I graduated from the National Taiwan University. I earned my Master of Library Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and have been with the Worcester Public Library since 2003. I served as the library’s Technology Division Head from 2003 and became the Associate Head Librarian in December 2011, a position I held until appointed Head Librarian by the Board of Directors in 2012.

I love to learn and I strive to provide lifelong learning opportunities for all library patrons. I welcome your ideas on how we can keep the library moving forward.
