Academic OneFile Access peer-reviewed and scholarry journals, news magazines, and newspapers. From arts and the humanities to social sciences, science and technology, this database meets research needs across all academic disciplines.  
African-American History Online Provides expansive and in-depth coverage of the people, events and topics important to the study of African-American history.
American History (ABC-CLIO) Middle and high school databases created to support student research on American History. It includes teacher resources, primary documents and student project suggestions.
American History Online A database spanning more than 500 years of political, military, social and cultural history, and highlighting the important people and events of the American experience.
American Women's History Online Covers the important people, events, legislations and issues relevant to the study of women's history in the United States
Ancestry Library Edition An inclusive genealogical research tool that contains searchable records (military, immigration, birth, death, marriage, court , land and immigration) plus newspapers and periodicals, atlases, maps and gazetteers that go back several hundred years.  
Chinese Magazines (Qikan) Access over 100 full-text popular magazine publications from mainland China, from 2005 to the present. Most titles are viewable in both simplified and classical viewing styles. Can only be used remotely and not inside the library.    
Consumer Health Complete Medical encyclopedias and reference books, searchable by keyword, provide information on conditions, diseases, prescription and non-prescription drugs and alternative therapies.
Consumer Health Complete & Salud Para Todos(Spanish) Spanish language version of Consumer Health Complete which performs simple and advanced searches in Spanish and provides Spanish translations of articles.

EBSCO Auto Repair Center Covering approximately 25,000 vehicles (cars and trucks) from 1954 to the present, this database includes over 100,000 factory drawings and photographs as well as technical service bulletins and recalls.
Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos Spanish language encyclopedia with a basic A-Z arrangement. Searching and results are in Spanish.
Expanded Academic ASAP Provides access to full-text scholarly journals, magazines and newspapers in a wide-range of topics including social science, humanities, education, science and technology. This database Includes more than 3,500 indexed and full-text titles, most of which are peer-reviewed, with more than 20 years of back-file coverage.
Facts on File: Issues & Controversies This database uses in-depth articles to explore more than 800 hot topics in business, politics, government, education and popular culture. The contents are updated weekly and linked to a 12 year back-file as well
Facts on File: Today's Science This database covers important developments in biology, chemistry, the environment, space, physics and technology. It contains abundant illustrations and texts, which are updated weekly and linked to a 15 year back-file.  
Foundation Center Search This CD-Rom product provides expanded search capability for the Foundation Center's database of over 80,000 private and corporate funders.    
Foundation Directory Online Profesional Search 80,000 plus private and corporate funders, who provide support to non-profit organizations in the US and abroad. Entries include giving interests and restrictions and provide links to funders' websites and federal tax reports (IRS 990's)    
Foundation Grants to Individuals Online A searchable online database that contains information on more than 6,000 funders who provide support for students, artists, researchers and other individual grant seekers.  
Gale - Biography Resource Center Thousands of full text biographies of individuals from all fields including literature, science, business, entertainment, sports, government, arts etc. are included along with citations to articles with additional information.
Gale - Business and Company ASAP Provide information on companies, markets and industries.  
Gale - Contemporary Literary Criticism Select Accesses a collection of more than 11,000 biographies and critical essays on contemporary writers that is searchable by nationality, genre, and ethnicity as well as by name or title of work.  
Gale - General Business File ASAP Analyze company performance and activity, industry events and trends as well as the latest in management, economics and politics. The database provides access to a combination of broker research reports, trade publications, newspapers, journals and company directory listings with full text and images available.  
Gale - Health Reference Center Academic A full-text database of nursing and allied health journals plus general health information including a medical dictionary and pamphlets by national health organizations.
Gale OneFile 1980 A one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics. Millions of full-text articles. Updated daily.
Gale - Virtual Reference Library A virtual reference library of over 20 full-text reference books or sets in many fields.  
General Reference Center Gold 1980 General interest database of full-text magazines, reference books and newspapers including images with coverage from 1980 on.
Grove Art Online Online access to the "Dictionary of Art" and the "Oxford Companion to Western Art", that includes over 2,500 thumbnail art images and drawings.
Grolier Multimedia Online Online access to the "Dictionary of Art" and the "Oxford Companion to Western Art", that includes over 2,500 thumbnail art images and drawings.
Heritage Quest A genealogy resource that includes searchable census data, family records, local histories, tax lists, city directories, land and probate records, as well as birth, marriage and death records and lots more.
LearningExpressLibrary Online practice tests for education (GED, SAT, GED, AP ,GRE,) as well as civil service, ASVAB and TOEFL exams and includes Skills Improvement programs to help students prepare for the MCAS tests. Follow "Printable directions" link to create your own account.
Ebsco: Literary Reference Center Full-text information on thousands of authors and their works, across all time periods. It includes plot summaries, synopses, biographies and some texts and poems and more

New England Ancestors This New England Historic Genealogic Society database, searches by name in various types of historic records including vital, town, church, probate and court records.  
NoveList Search the world of fiction by plot, title, genre and author, or browse by subject or awards/prizes with this reader's advisory tool. It includes links to reviews and to the Worcester Public Library catalog  
Prices for Antiques (p4A) A popular, easy to use, database for the identification and pricing of antiques and collectibles by keyword and broad subject categories.
Photofact Online Sams photofacts online provides schematics and service guidelines for over 200,000 models of consumer electronic products, radios and televisions produced from 1946 to the present. For both professional repair shops and do-it-yourselfers.  
Ref USA This database provides company directory information including officers, sales volume, locations, phone numbers and websites and can be searched by SIC/NCAIS, by location or by company name. Search for Individuals by name or by address in the Residential version.  
Rosetta Stone Language Learning: English Only A graduated language learning program to help users learn English from other languages. This program requires registration.
Science Online Covers the broad range of scientific topics and includes biographies, essays, science experiments, diagrams, definitions and timelines.  
World Book Kids  An elementary school version of the World Book with "kid-friendly" audio-searching and results. It includes a dictionary, maps and pictures.  
World Book Online General encyclopedia for middle to high school students with special links to MA information and Massachusetts curriculum standards
WorldCat An online catalog that searches the collections of hundreds of libraries across the US and around the world, simultaneously. Most items can be requested by interlibrary loan through the Worcester Pubic Library.  
World Geography (ABC-CLIO) Search for countries as well as landforms and maps, and follow links to news articles, biographies and images for countries worldwide.
Virtual Catalog Search multiple library catalogs throughout Massachusetts simultaneously with one search. To place a request, select your region, type in your library card number and choose a pick up location.
