Public Libraries offer a variety of
computer workstations to help with your
computing needs:
Main
Library
Offer access to the Library's Online
Catalog, Subscription Databases, and
other Library online resources.
Reserved PCs
Offer Internet access and common desktop
applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Access, etc.) as well as online databases.
These machines allow you to use a floppy
or USB drive for saving personal documents.
Reserved PCs require a valid Worcester
Public Library card to reserve a session.
Two 45-minute reserved sessions per
day with access for up to one and a
half hours are allowed. Time may be
extended if no one is waiting.
Express
PCs
Offer 15 minutes of use. Express PCs
offer Internet access only. Express
PCs do not require a Library card for
access.
Teen PCs
These Reserved PCs are reserved for
teen use only (See Reserved PCs).
Children's PCs
The Reserved PCs in Children’s Room
can be reserved for Children 12 and
younger (See Reserved PCs).
CD-ROM Computers offer CD-ROM games
for children. No Library card is needed
for access.
Stand-alone PCs
These are computers with CD-ROM drives
for you to do genealogy and grant resources
research. No Library card is needed
for access.

a floppy drive and a zip drive for saving
personal documents. Staff at the Circulation
Desk will manually reserve a PC for
you. A valid Worcester Public Library
card is required for reservation. Two
half-hour reserved sessions per day
is allowed for Internet access. Only
one hour reserved session per day is
allowed for word processing. Time may
be extended if no one is waiting.
Children's PCs
Children's PCs offer CD-ROM games and
are reserved exclusively for children
use. Children's PCs do not require a
Library card for access. A half-hour
session can be reserved on the signup
sheet. Time may be extended if no one
is waiting.

School Bus games, and a floppy drive
and a zip drive for saving personal
documents. Staff at the Circulation
Desk will manually reserve a PC for
you. Two half-hour sessions per day
are allowed to use these computers.

residents in reserving a computer workstation.
