for consumer use. After developing a bulb that would last for 40 hours Edison
set up his first power plant in Lower Manhattan. But Edison made several critical

Menlo Park and his staff would, over time, develop all the components for
an electrical system, Edison became caught in a web of personal, patent and
corporate battles. In the end, he revolutionized the world, yet lost control
