QUINSIGAMOND COMMUNITY COLLEGE

  1. Adult Basic Education Program
    GED and all levels of ESL classes: on the QCC campus, at 670 West Boylston St. Classes are held Tues. & Wed. 6-9 p.m. 508-854-4288. Usually has a waiting list. 
  2. QCC classes are also held at St. Paul's School - downtown at 19 Chatham St. Mon., Wed. & Fri. from 9-12 noon. The telephone number at St. Paul's School is 508-770-1314. For further information concerning both locations call 508-854-4358

ST. PETER'S CHURCH -- 929 Main St., 508-752-4674 (Sister Mary Ann)

ESL classes only: mostly beginner to intermediate level. One-time registration fee of $15:00 for each class. Classes run from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Mon/Wed., Spring and Fall and last 8-12 weeks. There may be some early afternoon classes also.

LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF WORCESTER at Worcester Public Library 508-754-8056

No classes but offers one-on-one tutors for ESL & literacy. Once you are assigned a tutor, you will meet for at least one year (roughly 2 hrs. per week). This is an excellent opportunity for students to benefit form individualized attentions. Usually has a waiting list.

  2. On-Line ESL Classes
    The certificate courses are developed by Pearson Education/Longman Publishing and offered by WSC. All materials are written and compiled by leading authors and expert instructors. Directions can be translated on-line into 8 languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Korean, Japanese and traditional Chinese.
